Off-road Capabilities of the New Volkswagen AMAROK.

The Volkswagen Amarok has caused a stir in the bakkie market and has redefined the standards of the class on several levels.  It does not break new ground in terms of performance, but rather it is the way the Amarok achieves it that breaks the mould: a twin-turbocharged 2-litre diesel engine develops the same power and more torque than the majority of 3-litre rivals.  In this video, you can see South African motor racing legend Sarel van der Merwe take the Amarok through its off-road paces with and without the differential lock engaged, to show the difference:
